The EARLYPOLY project aims to integrate the educational tool Poly-Universe, created by János Saxon, into preschool and lower primary education as an innovative learning solution.
The project is being implemented by a consortium of five partners: two universities, an art centre, and two STEAM* education providers.
It promotes a collaborative learning environment and practices, with a particular focus on inclusion and the participation of girls.
The exhibition will feature documentation on the project, the Poly-Universe tool itself, as well as works by János Saxon-Szász, the Hungarian artist born in 1964.
Saxon has been influenced by Constructivism, Suprematism, and the MADI movement, within which he developed the Hungarian branch. His art is characterised by poly-dimensional forms inspired by fractals, combining pure abstraction, geometry, and mathematical precision.
His practice establishes a dialogue between art and science. He has also developed the Poly-Universe project — a pedagogical system that uses geometric forms as a means of teaching mathematics.
Closely aligned with the principles of Concrete Art, he was among the first artists to undertake a residency at the eac.
